Formed of two Italian smelting facilities based in the Campania and Lombardy regions, ECOBAT S.r.l. is one of the most efficient operations in the group, recycling around 96% of all collected lead batteries.

Jointly, the two sites employ a total of 220 staff and associates and recycle around 120,000 tonnes of waste lead batteries annually, collected via the ECOBAT group’s closed-loop recycling process. The two sites produce around 80,000 tonnes of lead each year combined.

The Paderno facility was founded in 1938 and the Marcianise facility was founded in 1970, and both facilities are ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, 50001 certified.

Over the years, both facilities have undergone a programme of continuous improvement and investment to ensure the highest operational efficiency and minimum environmental harm. This is all part of ECOBAT’s goal to drive a safer, greener future for the lead industry.
