BMG Metall und Recycling GmbH (BMG)
With a history of lead and tin smelting dating back more than 500 years, BMG Metall and Recycling GmbH (BMG) is one of the oldest secondary smelters in Austria.
At its site in EURO NOVA Arnoldstein, BMG employs a workforce of 52 and produces around 27,000 tonnes of lead and lead alloys. The facility benefits from ECOBAT’s lead battery and scrap recycling process, producing much of its output from accumulators and lead waste.
BMG is also a certified waste disposal plant and produces 3,800 tonnes of sodium sulphate and 1,400 tonnes of polypropylene alongside its main lead offering.
The facility is certified to ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 as part of our group-wide goal to achieve the highest environmental and operational standards.
